Hey guys – Hope you’re all good! I met up with my friends VA and Mike on Saturday for a coffee and a catch up which was also followed by a quick shoot of my outfit. I’d not worn my Sukajan (Souvenir) Jacket in such a long time that I thought I’d bring it back out to play. I love to so much, the colours, the satin-like material, the embroidery, the dragons – It’s just awesome. I’m not sure if you read my previous post of when I first got this jacket (here). Their history and style fascinates me – I searched the whole of the internet for the perfect, black and white with dragons jacket and ended up finding a great selection on Etsy. I’d never ordered from Etsy before so I thought it would be fun to get my Sukajan from there.

I paid around £75 for the jacket with postage included (from Malaysia) and was pretty excited to receive it, little did I know that when It arrived into the UK I got a customs charge of around £85 – more than what I had paid for the jacket. I was shocked and confused, I had to pay it and then deal with it later, basically when I received the package the customs declaration had been filled out wrong by the seller. I think they put the value of the item incorrectly as it was 3 digits long – I ended up having to download a form from ‘borderforce’ and send all my evidence with the packaging, a receipt that I printed out from Etsy and I eventually got a refund for my customs charge which was brilliant. (a lot of effort but I wasn’t paying £150 for a jacket that originally cost £75 aha) Have you ever had any trouble with customs charges?

Anyway I hope you like the outfit – also the weather was really bad and the pictures have a sort of ‘glowing’ effect on all the white highlights but I kind of like it? What do you think?

As always leave a comment below because I’d love to hear from you!
