Let me know what you think in the comments below if you have time, but yes that is the desert and yes they’re new Gola Sneakers on my feet, all shot in Southeastern California.

For our trip to the desert I thought I’d dress semi-appropriately, this sleeveless flannel shirt gave me the ventilation I needed in the dry heat although I did unbutton it after while. Paired with my denim shorts (that a lot of people think are way too short? which I have to disagree with haha) and then finished off the look with my new Gola Classics. When Gola approached me to work together I was extremely flattered as they’re a brand that I grew up with, Gola has always been around and has such recognisable shapes in sneakers. I’ve been wearing my Gola Classic sneakers quite a lot recently, they’re minimal, comfortable and pretty much go with all of my outfits. They’re considered to be a retro sneaker but I think the way that the colour is positioned makes them look really contemporary. I love the off-white colour, it really is a subtle, clean, Lux looking sneaker that can be styled casual or smart.

Joshua Tree National Park is one of the most incredible places I’ve ever been to, you MUST visit at some point in your life. The views are breathtaking and almost surreal, the tall rocks tower over you and the nothingness never seems to end. It’s eerily quiet and extremely inspiring, I was surprised by the number of random homes we saw along the way. Apart from tourists, it’s a place where people go who want to go unnoticed or get ‘off the grid’ go – apparently. You’re given major breaking bad/the hills have eyes vibes when walking around – if you are to visit then make sure you’re with someone who knows a little bit about the area – you could get lost and what’s worse is that there’s no phone signal anywhere. However it’s extremely worth the trip and you won’t regret it at all.
