Hey there – It’s Joel here aka Gallucks, first off thanks for visiting my blog, I’ve been blogging for quite a long time, I started ‘The Hallowed Ground’ when I was at college just for something to do. I’ve always kept blogging no matter where I studied, what job I was doing but the last year I’ve really pushed myself to be consistent because I love it so much and here I am in 2016 and it’s my full time job.
It’s been a crazy couple of years for me, I studied contemporary performing arts at the University of Chichester after which I moved to London to get involved in the fashion industry. The struggle was real and after countless failed job interviews in retail luckily enough I was asked to be a stylist assistant based on my blog/Instagram content (which was insane). I assisted stylists on music videos, editorial shoots, tv shows and even The X Factor. I then went on to do personal styling for fashion app ASAP54, working for a start up company was really exciting and taught me so much. My friend Tom who worked at Net-A-Porter then mentioned a studio styling job that I might be interested in, I ended up getting it and worked for the Net-A-Porter group for just over a year. I resigned in December 2015 to focus on my blog and youtube channel – so there you have it!
