I’ve worn this sweater quite a few times already over on my Instagram (here) and YouTube channel (here) and it’s safe to say it’s one of my favourite things to wear the moment. If you’ve followed me for awhile you’ll know that I like to keep it clean and minimal, block colours/textures and I rarely delve into the world of prints but lately a lot of prints have been catching my eye.

Allsaints for starters has been delivering some awesome menswear pieces as of late, drop shoulder silhouettes, slouchy oversized pieces with dark tones and textures. All round quality pieces which have really inspired me, I think what stood out for me in this Rattan crew sweater is the blend of prints, the dark tropical storm, the leopard print and the general confusion as to what is happening. It reminded me of this Saint Lauren cardigan (here) infact looking at it a bit closer it seems to be directly inspired by it. To be honest though I think the Allsaints version is much better.

I always style my outfits around one piece in-particular, I also tend to keep the rest of the outfit quite minimal if one piece is the focus. With bold prints it’s exactly the same, with this sweater I wore my ripped knee skinny jeans and my suede creepers which are also from Allsaints. I feel like the dark colours and tones really blend together well. So my advice to wearing bold prints is to keep the rest of your outfit minimal and really try and tie in the colours with your shoes/accessories etc so it all blends into one.
