Hey guys I thought I would show you todays outfit from a different perspective in terms of giving advice on how to style a White Coat. Now when I saw this White Parka on ASOS I fell in love with it. The drop shoulder, the crinkle detailing of the fabric and the parka silhouette were all perfect. However, overall I did have some reservations on the fact that it was a white coat, I don’t have any white jackets or coats but since my style is very monochrome I thought I might be able to pull it off.
It is such a statement piece that it’s important to play the rest of your outfit down when wearing such an outlandish bit of outerwear. I chose a stone coloured sweatshirt paired with my go-to ripped black skinny jeans also from ASOS. I wore my Adidas x Raf Simons sneakers on foot to tie in the black and white colour scheme of my outfit. I always think that you should have one focal piece in an outfit (although you might see the sneakers as another focal piece – I think it all works together? no?)
I think a thing to remember when styling a white coat is to balance it out with dark trousers/bottoms (unless you’re confident enough to go all white everything that is!) Also with statement pieces and textured pieces like this it’s good to keep everything else clean and minimal so that your outfit stays understated rather than look over the top.
What do you think of how I styled this white parka? scroll to the bottom and leave a comment below, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Also if you do ever feel inspired to shop, or if you’d like to support my blog – if you do shop through the links on my blog (like clicking through to ASOS etc) then I earn a small commission from any sales that are made – it would be a big help to me and I would really appreciate it. As always, thank you for stopping by at taking the time to read my blog posts – it really means a lot!
Until next time,
