Freaking Friday

This week has been so Hectic, i’ve come across so many interesting things, loads of fantastic music and the most jaw dropping runways i’ve seen in a long time. I didn’t go back to College until Tuesday so on the Monday i got some friends over to help film my Coursework project for Film Studies. It’s a creepy 3 minute piece about fear/death. I’ll probably upload it to Vimeo once i’ve edited it.

College this week has been fun, Editing my final pieces of my Z Magazine cover & articles. Studying True Blood in Media and Had a Drama workshop for our exam on Greek Theatre. The workshop consisted of improvising our interpretations of emotions and then recreating a scene from Lysistrata! It was fun but the teacher had the worst stutter in the world and we all couldn’t stop laughing I felt so bad haha. I’ve been listening to Ellie Goulding’s New Album all week, I am in love with all the songs and cannot wait to see her at the end of March! Before that though are tons of coursework deadlines, Lady Gaga, A Day To Remember, my last Uni Audition and my Driving Test! MARCH WILL BE A BUSY,BUSY MONTH.

Anyway, Enough about me, here’s what i’ve been into this week…

Lady Gaga, this week I found some amazing quotes from an upcoming interview with Cosmopolitan!

On her ex:
“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee a the f***ing deli without hearing or seeing me.”

On her career:

“I ate shit for so long, being told I didn’t fit the mold and that I was ‘too pop’ or ‘too theatre’…I’ve always been delusionally ambitious to the point where people don’t understand me.”

What I have always loved about Gaga is that she lets people be themselves, find who you are and be yourself, you only have one life, so why not?

London Fashion Week! My previous post covered the menswear but there was so many womenswear that were incredible! Here is some of the things that interested me the most…

Louise Goldins “Space Army”

Iris Van Herpen AW 2010

Ashish S/S 2010 ( i only like the jackets and the plain things, the bright prints hurt my eyes!)

DVCOU2RE – Dark Designers from Mexico City will soon be catapulted into the fashion world i’m sure, just look at some of their pieces.

Black Eyed Peas – Their new video lasts for about TEN MINUTES, the song gets better at the end but i have to say all the clothing worn is beautiful and the futuristic vibe is fantastic. BEP obviously discovered the futuristic trend and are riding it until it ends haha, but who knows, if it’s the future? Then it’s not futuristic at all, it’s how we ARE dressing so the future is now?. Take a look for yourself!
